Hey People

Just to let you know that I’m still alive. Trying to cope at work which is mayhem following the redundancies and my workload has now increased by about 30% (as if it wasn’t bad enough before). My boss is on a well-earned break (we had to push him out the door) but the result of fewer people in the firm means I have too much to do and am drowning. I have a lot to say and write, too much in fact, but it will have to come as and when things calm down a bit. Right now I have to fight to get out of work, Monsieur and I are trying to either find a new flat to move into or negotiate with our landlord to stay where we are and we have families who need to catch up with us now that we’re back from holiday. That’s just the start of it. I’ve never been so in demand in my life. Be patient, people. The tales I have to tell are worth waiting for.

Lots of love, Epic.

We’ll be waiting. Honestly, all this redundancy AND flat finding and moving possibilities? That would be my stress limit with just one of them. Comfort food would be called for in my house and lots of it.

Sometimes the best of the worst is to bundle it all together, and get it all done while the adrenaline is gushing.
Get every nasty thing out of your hair so you can breathe a little.

Why ruin several months just a little bit at a time, when you can slog away at it intensely and be done.

Pat has a good suggestion- maybe soup and dumplings followed by deep dish apple pie with ice cream.

We’re eager to hear the stories.

Sounds like the Empress and Redfin required……

Pat – the irony is that we had just approached our landlord to see if we could do a deal with him to stay where we are and then, boom, Monsieur finds a flat he calls “perfect”. I’m off to see it tonight. If one move isn’t enough, soon we will be moving our entire office, but that’s another story…
Bonnie – you’re so right. Hopefully this is just an intense storm of tough stuff and soon it will all be over and history. Your idea of soup + dumplings etc has just made my tummy rumble!
WWofW – thanks, Hon. The Redfin sounds good. Don’t need the Empress (thank God), I just need more hours in the day and less cr** from Mr Green. Plus ca change and all that.
